PROFILE: Established in 1993, the Community Foundation of Central Georgia (CFCG) is a community funder based in Macon, Georgia. A group of citizens founded CFCG as a way to connect donors with nonprofit causes in the central part of the state. It “works with individuals, families, corporations, private foundations and not-for-profit organizations to carry out their charitable objectives and address emerging community issues.” Areas of interest include quality of life, people with disabilities, self-sufficiency, children and youth, animal welfare and civic engagement.
