PROFILE: The A M Foundation was established in 2003. It was established by real estate owner Arthur Meisels and his wife Miriam, who are based in Brooklyn and keep a low profile. Grants for Jewish Causes

According to tax filings, the A M Foundation funds grantmaking related to Jewish causes, particularly educational, religious and social service institutions. The A M Foundation’s grantmaking has steadily funded Keren Habinyan Bais Rochel, a school in Brooklyn.

Past grantees include Congregation Atzei Chaim, Congregation Nachlei Emunah, Yeshiva Bais Hillel, Chaim Medical Resource, and Bais Chana Women International, a “Chabad non-profit organization that works to provide an environment for Jewish girls and women, ages 15 and up and from all backgrounds, to explore Jewish teachings and traditions.”
