PROFILE: Established in 2004, the Methodist Health System Foundation (MHSF) is a health legacy foundation based in Slidell, Louisiana. It formed upon the sale of Methodist Hospital and strives to improve the quality of life of its target population through strategic grantmaking and operating school-based health centers. The foundation aims to “support, develop and manage health-related programs and access to services that benefit the citizens of East New Orleans and beyond.” It funds local efforts for health, access to healthcare, healthy lifestyles, disease prevention and capacity building.

The Methodist Health System Foundation funds health-related programs and services by collaborating with local and regional nonprofits that serve the local community.
