OVERVIEW: The Levitties Foundation primarily funds grantmaking related to health, education, Jewish causes, and the arts.

PROFILE: Established in 1953, the Levitties Foundation is steered by apparel mogul Marvin B. Levitties, associated with Adella Dress Company in Philadelphia. According to tax records, the Levitties Foundation primarily funds grantmaking related to health, education, Jewish causes, and the arts.

The foundation’s health grantmaking funds behavioral health causes. In particular, health grantmaking has benefitted Einstein Healthcare Network including in the realm of Einstein’s behavioral health studies. Levitties is also involved with Central Behavioral Health. He is also on the board of trustees of Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He taught at the school and helped launch Harcum’s first Retail Merchandising and Fashion Department. Education grants center on Jewish institutions and local K-12 outfits. Arts funding benefits museums and other like institutions rather than smaller arts organizations.
