PROFILE: Established in 1984, the Eden Hall Foundation is a private foundation based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is the foundation of Sebastian Mueller, who was the vice president and director of the H.J. Heinz Company. This funder focuses on improving health and wellness, access to the arts and enhancing community and civic resources. It regularly funds evidence-based programming, capacity building, capital projects, technical assistance and scholarship funds. The Eden Hall Foundation has a summer grants program to help nonprofits engage children and youth in educational experiences during summers.

Past local grantees include the Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania, Allegheny Youth Development and the Carnegie Science Center. It also pledged $10 million over five years to support efforts to revitalize Pittsburgh’s central business district post-Covid-19.
