OVERVIEW: The Carroll County Community Foundation supports Carroll County, Arkansas in the areas of grade-level reading, critical needs, children and youth, hunger, medical care, arts, education.

PROFILE: Established in 2001, the Carroll County Community Foundation (CCCF) is based in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and serves the local community here. Local community leaders founded it, and it is an affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation. Volunteer board members who are familiar with needs in the county lead the foundation, and CCCF has its own local executive director and local office. This foundation seeks to “support programs that respond to critical needs, such as food for the hungry and medical care for the disadvantaged, as well as programs that sustain and enrich, like the arts and education.” It also has a grade-level reading campaign to support reading proficiency at all levels in local schools.
CCCF awards grants through a Youth Advisory Council, which has a grant cycle that runs from January to February annually. This grant opportunity supports children and youth in Carroll County. The funder accepts applications from nonprofits, schools, hospitals, churches, and government agencies for this purpose.
The funder also has a Giving Tree Grant Cycle, which is open in July and August. It invites the same types of local entities to apply for these grants. This is an opportunity for single-year programs and project support. CCCF does not provide Giving Tree grants for capital campaigns, operating budgets, multi-year programs, office supplies, advertising, salaries, or mileage.
