Bernice Barbour Foundation

OVERVIEW: The Bernice Barbour Foundation makes grants to organizations that do hands on work in the fields of wildlife conservation and the humane treatment of domestic animals.

PROFILE: The Bernice Barbour Foundation was established in Philadelphia in 1986 by the attorney Frank Van Duyne Lloyd in the memory of his dear friend Bernice Wall Barbour. The foundation aims to to carry on the animal welfare work that Barbour pursued during her lifetime and supports organizations involved in both wildlife conservation and the humane treatment of domestic animals.

Grants for Wildlife and Animal Rescue

This funder does not name specific goals for its animal and wildlife grantmaking but has demonstrated a strong preference for small organizations that do hands-on work with animals.
